Charlotte Sans typeface

Charlotte Sand specimen

A humanistic sans serif typeface family.

Charlotte Sans, designed in 1991, was one of the first typefaces to be designed directly on screen using a font creation program. The idea was to create a sans-serif that combined the humanistic qualities of Gill Sans and the evenness of color in the Frutiger series.

For almost 20 years it has been used extensively around the world: Letraset, LG Electronics, Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, City of Vancouver and Ocean Spray are a few examples.

There is also a companion serif family, Charlotte, that matches both weight and colour.
